Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Sales Systems & Data, you will:
- Design and implement custom Salesforce solutions to enhance platform functionality for the entire Revenue organization and key stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Accounting, Marketing)
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce functionality including custom objects, flows, and validation rules
- Develop and maintain custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies
- Collaborate with Admins and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Manage communication and API integrations between Salesforce and other critical business systems
- Ensure superior code quality through comprehensive unit testing and maintaining high test coverage per Salesforce standards
- Participate in deployment activities including sandbox management, change sets, and version control systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring system stability and optimal performance
- Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to team members and administrators
- Follow Salesforce development best practices for data integrity and security compliance
- Stay current with platform updates and industry trends to recommend continuous improvements
Requirements
Essential Technical Skills:
- 3+ years hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture including custom objects, workflows, flows, and permission models
- Proven experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools (MuleSoft or similar)
- Proficiency with deployment tools including Gearset, Change Sets, Salesforce DX, and version control systems like Git
- Experience with large-scale Salesforce environments (500+ users)
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on system optimization and performance
- Expertise in writing and maintaining unit tests with adherence to code coverage standards
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce security models including roles, profiles, and permission sets
Required Certifications & Skills:
- Salesforce Admin Certification (required)
- Platform Developer I certification or higher (strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
