How to Apply
Career Advice: Standing Out in Platform Engineering Roles
When applying for Salesforce DevOps and platform engineering positions, go beyond listing technologies you’ve used. Hiring managers want to see measurable impact. Did your CI/CD pipeline reduce deployment time by 40%? Did your self-service platform decrease ticket volume for infrastructure requests? Quantify your achievements. Also, showcase your understanding of developer experience (DevEx)—modern platform engineers need to think like product managers, treating internal developers as customers. Highlight any experience gathering feedback, implementing user-friendly interfaces, or creating documentation that actually gets used. This perspective sets exceptional candidates apart.
