Responsibilities

As a Salesforce Developer at Navan, you will take on comprehensive responsibilities including:

Technical Development:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Visualforce
  • Maintain and enhance existing components with focus on performance and usability
  • Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage following test-driven development best practices
  • Apply Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques effectively

Technical Leadership:

  • Serve as technical lead on Salesforce initiatives, translating business needs into scalable solutions
  • Own the full development lifecycle including integration with third-party systems (NetSuite, Marketo, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Salesforce CPQ, LeanData)
  • Conduct regular code reviews, pull request approvals, and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Mentor junior developers and admins on best practices and development patterns

Platform Management:

  • Configure declarative Salesforce features including custom objects, validation rules, page layouts, and Flows
  • Understand and support Salesforce CPQ rules and configuration
  • Execute data migration, data loads, and data fixes as needed
  • Manage user access, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules according to best practices

System Optimization:

  • Ensure data integrity, platform security, and system performance optimization across environments
  • Use version control systems like Git with knowledge of branching strategies and deployment methodologies
  • Manage deployments using tools like Gearset, Copado, or similar CI/CD tools
  • Identify, debug, and resolve complex system issues in both sandbox and production environments

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Document system architecture, technical solutions, and business process flows
  • Leverage error logging and monitoring systems for issue resolution

Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
  • Experience with Salesforce Flows and Process Builder
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ and enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations
