Responsibilities
Technical Development:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Visualforce
- Maintain and enhance existing components with focus on performance and usability
- Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage following test-driven development practices
- Apply Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques effectively
Platform Leadership:
- Serve as technical lead on Salesforce initiatives, translating business needs into scalable solutions
- Own the full development lifecycle including integration with third-party systems (NetSuite, Marketo, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Salesforce CPQ, LeanData)
- Conduct regular code reviews, pull request approvals, and CI/CD pipeline management
- Configure declarative Salesforce features including custom objects, validation rules, page layouts, and Flows
System Management:
- Execute data migration, data loads, and data fixes as needed
- Manage user access, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules according to best practices
- Ensure data integrity, platform security, and system performance optimization
- Manage deployments using tools like Gearset, Copado, or similar CI/CD tools
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across business and IT
- Mentor junior developers and admins on best practices and platform strategy
- Contribute to Agile sprints and participate in planning cycles using tools like Jira
- Document system architecture, technical solutions, and business process flows
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Expert proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
- Experience with Salesforce Flows and Process Builder
- Salesforce CPQ experience and enterprise-scale implementations
- Strong understanding of Salesforce licensing models and platform architecture
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices with tools like Gearset or Copado
- Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
- Understanding of Salesforce security models, permission sets, and data access strategies
- Experience working in Agile environments with sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Excellent communication skills across time zones and functions
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business context
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with error logging and monitoring systems
- Knowledge of branching strategies and deployment methodologies
- Complex system debugging and issue resolution experience
