About the Role:
Nike is seeking a passionate Backend Engineer with Salesforce expertise to join the Partners & Marketplace Engineering team. As a Software Engineer II, you’ll play a key role in building scalable, high-performance commerce applications that drive Nike’s customer engagement. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative solutions that impact Nike’s global consumer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver backend solutions for Nike’s partner experience and platforms.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Salesforce-based applications.
- Contribute to new features, proactively identify technical improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional product teams.
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Work on performance and scalability improvements, leveraging Agile methodologies for continuous delivery.
- Own backend development with end-to-end product responsibility.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to ensure high-quality technical execution.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of software development experience.
- Strong Salesforce backend development skills: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SFMC, and Salesforce flows.
- Experience with microservice architecture, RESTful services, and programming languages such as Java, Node, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB).
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), test-driven development, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools like Splunk and ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team.
