Responsibilities

As a Salesforce Developer at Ford, you will:

  • Complex Solution Development: Design and implement sophisticated Salesforce solutions including flows, entry criteria, profiles, and data migrations
  • OmniStudio Expertise: Develop and maintain Omni Studio components including Data Raptors, Integration Procedures, Omni Scripts, and Flex Cards
  • Custom Development: Create and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Aura Components
  • API Integration: Integrate Salesforce with corporate systems using REST/SOAP APIs and Vlocity Integration Procedures
  • Business Application Integration: Connect various business applications to Salesforce including DocuSign, Emplifi, Medialla, GCP, and MuleSoft
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Ford IT and Development teams to integrate Salesforce across business operations
  • Quality Assurance: Develop high-quality, testable code that satisfies customer needs while maintaining simplicity and clarity
  • Best Practices Implementation: Adhere to and promote Salesforce best practices, maintain comprehensive code documentation, and develop test classes
  • Release Management: Take ownership of release cycles for implementing and deploying new applications and code updates
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively integrate Salesforce innovations and improvements into existing solutions

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 4-5 years of software development experience with multi-cloud architecture expertise
  • Extensive experience with Service Cloud and Vlocity OmniStudio
  • Advanced proficiency in OmniStudio components (Data Raptor, Integration Procedures, Omni Scripts, Flex Cards)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Aura Components
  • Proven experience in designing complex Salesforce solutions and data migrations
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce APIs and integration patterns
  • Experience with system integrations involving Salesforce web services (JSON, SOAP)
  • Ability to create custom objects, modify existing objects, and develop custom user interfaces
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Minimum 2 Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Developer/Omni Script Developer required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce development ecosystem (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Java)
  • Significant web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
