Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Developer at Barclays, you will be responsible for:
Development & Technical Leadership:
- Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
Salesforce Platform Management:
- Work extensively with Salesforce Sales, Community, and Service Cloud applications
- Utilize Service Cloud features, including OMNI channel and Live Agent chat
- Perform Force.com customization and configuration
- Develop and maintain Salesforce Lightning Aura and LWC components
- Handle data migration using Apex data loader and other data loading tools
Integration & Development:
- Implement advanced Apex development, including Triggers and Dynamic Apex
- Develop Advanced Visual Force and JavaScript solutions
- Manage integrations (both real-time and batch) via SOAP and BULK API, Apex Callouts
- Translate simple to complex user requirements into functional software within the Salesforce environment
- Work with GIT for version control and code management
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
- Guide and supervise team members, supporting professional development
- Communicate complex/sensitive information clearly and concisely
- Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function
Process Management:
- Work within structured change environments typical of banking and financial services
- Follow Agile development methodology
- Manage change management processes and release planning
- Prepare implementation plans and coordinate deployments
- Take responsibility for embedding new policies and procedures for risk mitigation
Requirements
Essential Technical Skills:
- Deep experience with Salesforce Sales, Community, and Service Cloud applications
- Hands-on experience with Service Cloud features (OMNI channel, Live Agent chat)
- Extensive Force.com customization experience
- Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Aura and LWC components
- Advanced Apex development skills (Triggers, Dynamic Apex)

- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science or relevant stream)
