Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer (Android SDK) at Razorpay, you will:
- Contribute to Razorpay’s Android SDK that powers payments on mobile devices for all merchants
- Develop and implement features based on product specifications and business requirements
- Write automation code for Android projects, including tests, builds, and routine tasks
- Build comprehensive instrumentation on the Android SDK to enable data-driven product decisions
- Implement security measures, including ProGuard, R8 SSL pinning, and other security protocols
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to understand API specifications
- Work with multiple internal and external teams to ensure successful feature implementation across different services
Requirements
Essential Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in Android SDK development
- Strong understanding of core Java, OOP principles, and Kotlin
- Framework experience with Flutter, React Native, Cordova, or Ionic
- Solid knowledge of threads, activity lifecycles, web views, and debugging techniques
- Understanding of lifecycle-aware components
- Good grasp of pro-guard, R8 SSL pinning, and security implementations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Side projects on GitHub or published apps on the Play Store
- Knowledge of Maven deployment
- Understanding of behavioral changes in upcoming Android versions
- Willingness to work on iOS development as well
