Team Description
The Institutional Credit Risk Platform (CRP) team plays a crucial role in Coinbase’s operations by developing data solutions, workflow tools, and reporting systems that help the Risk organization monitor and manage financial exposure across various Coinbase products, including Financing, Exchanges, and Futures.
Role Description
As a Software Engineer on the Institutional Credit Risk Platform team, you will build frameworks and solutions that enable the measurement and management of financial risks. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll develop risk models, establish key risk metrics, and implement counterparty and collateral management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop features using Go/Database/API/GRPC
- Work with Postgres, Clickhouse, and other relational and non-relational databases
- Maintain existing database features by fixing issues and implementing enhancements
- Collaborate with risk management professionals to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure Coinbase has the necessary tools to mitigate risks, maintain liquidity, and remain compliant with regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in backend development with a strong focus on Go or other high-level languages like Java/Python
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres and Clickhouse
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fix and enhance database features
- Passion for fintech and blockchain technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge or experience in database technology
- Familiarity or interest in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Experience with UI development and UX design
