Responsibilities
As a Software Test Engineer Intern at MCS, you will:
- Develop and implement quality assurance standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure consistency and excellence in products, services, and processes
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and audits of software products and services to identify deviations, defects, or areas for improvement
- Maintain detailed records of quality assessments, test results, findings, and recommendations
- Create and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures and test documentation
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and collaborate with development teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Provide guidance and support to teams on quality standards, testing best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Establish feedback mechanisms for reporting quality-related concerns and suggestions for improvement
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on quality performance, highlighting successes and areas requiring attention
- Ensure that testing processes and products adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline testing processes and enhance quality
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or related)
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in manual testing
- Experience testing various application types (web, mobile, and desktop applications)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, ISO standards)
- Experience with test planning, test strategy preparation, and review processes
- Knowledge of regression testing approaches for large-scale projects
- Familiarity with quality management software and testing tools
- Understanding of bug tracking and test case management systems
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience in identifying and reporting critical bugs
- Experience with test automation concepts and implementation
- Knowledge of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle
