Responsibilities
As a Backend Software Engineer at BrowserStack, you will:
- Design and develop systems and applications with agility and quality at scale
- Take end-to-end ownership of tasks from development to production
- Help with the design, implementation, and launch of key product features
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with other engineers
- Drive best practices and engineering improvements
- Find solutions to issues across various operating systems and programming languages
Requirements
- Software development or programming experience of 1-3 years
- Extensive experience with at least one programming language: Ruby, NodeJS, Python, Java, or C/C++
- Good knowledge of operating systems, databases, and networking concepts
- Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms below the application layer, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, scripting, internal APIs, etc.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members
- Strong problem diagnosis and solving skills for real-world challenges
- Startup mentality with high willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
