Responsibilities
As a Senior Salesforce Developer at EY, your key responsibilities will include:
- Client Engagement: Meet directly with clients to determine business, functional, and technical requirements, participating in comprehensive application design, configuration, testing, and deployment processes
- Platform Expertise: Perform advanced configuration and customization of the Salesforce.com platform to meet complex enterprise requirements
- Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, training programs, and detailed documentation
- Sales Support: Actively participate in the sales cycle, including solution definition, pre-sales activities, project estimating, and strategic planning
- Deliverable Creation: Produce high-quality tangible deliverables, including requirements specifications, design documents, status reports, and detailed project plans
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively engage in ongoing improvement efforts for application design, support processes, and practice development initiatives
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting for bug fixes, system enhancements, and user guidance
- Code Review Leadership: Conduct regular implementation reviews for less experienced developers, providing constructive feedback and improvement suggestions
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level developers, effectively delegate tasks, and maintain balanced team productivity
- Environment Setup: Independently establish development environments and guide junior developer teams
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain independent communication with client technical teams and business owners throughout design and implementation phases
Requirements
Essential Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform development experience
- Valid “Salesforce Platform Developer I” certification (minimum requirement)
- Proven experience with CRM projects for middle-market and enterprise-level companies
- Deep understanding of complex business systems integration and object-oriented design patterns
- Advanced software engineering skills with Force.com Platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Unit Testing
- Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools
- Extensive experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML)
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies, particularly SCRUM
